Show Easter Service Largely Attended The outstanding observances of Easter in this community was that given by the members of the Fourth ward at a special Easter pageant in the Fourth ward chapel last Saturday night and Sunday morning. morn-ing. The Sunday School of the ward was in charge. The program Saturday night was attended by a capacity audience, and Sunday morning a smaller but just as appreciative an attendance ; marked the second performance. A string ensemble consisting of Miss Betha Storrs, Ferren Sager, Miss Helen Johnston and Miss Ly-dia Ly-dia Olsen rendered a half hour's sacred program of music Saturday night preceding the pageant. First Ward Music Festival April 17 On Tuesday night, April 17th, the music department of the First ward M. I. A. will give the ward music festival. Tire ladies chorus, the male chorus and mixed choruses Will participate. Miss Virginia Tay-; Tay-; lor and Thornton Young are the .directors. Class work in the First ward M. I. A. will end next Tuesday Tues-day night, as the Tuesday nicrht following the festival. April 24th, has been de.-iened as ward achieve-1 ment night. I n I |
