Show Pleasant Grove Locals j Eugene Hillman of Payson, was a guest Sunday of his mother, Mrs. Annie Hillman. Mr. and Mrs. J- C. Kindred announce an-nounce the birth of a son, last Friday. Fri-day. All concerned are doing nicely. Mrs- Helen Fotheringham of Ne-phi Ne-phi has been visiting the past week with her mother, Mrs. Christine Bird. Mr. and Mrs- Wendell Moyle and children of Alpine, were visitors Saturday Sat-urday with Mrs- Moyle's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Walker. The Timpanogos stake Relief Society So-ciety officers attended Relief Society So-ciety conference at Salt Lake City one hundred percent last Wednesday Wednes-day and Thursday. Patriarch S. L- Swenson is able to be around again after being ct.n-f.ned ct.n-f.ned to his home for about two and Mrs. Howard Christiansen Christian-sen are proud parents of a lovely baby boy, born Monday at the home of its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph West. Mother and baby are doing nicely. Mrs. Mary Cooper of Pleasant Grove, Mr- and Mrs. Arthur Lewis and small daughter, Mrs- Eliza Lewis and Miss Ruth Lewis of Salt Lake City, attended the funeral of Mrs. Ruth Quigley Webb at Payson, Sunday. Sun-day. Tim Richards, formerly of this city, but recently of Dividend, Utah, is in the L. D. S- hospital in Salt Lake City, suffering with injuries to his back, received m a mine accident acci-dent recently. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Adamson and family and Mr- and Mrs. Howard Mathews enjoyed Sunday at the' Adamson sheep camp in Strawberry Valley. The telephone operators of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, American Fork and Lehi enjoyed a trip to Manning, the old mining town, on Monday, evening-They evening-They enjoyed a picnic lunch and visit. Those attending from Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove were Miss Ardena Atwood, Mrs. Chloe Harper, Miss Margaret Lee and Miss Eva Yancey. Mrs- Charles E. Thorne and Miss Eva Yancey entertained the Junior girls of the Second ward M. I- A. at a bon-fire social at Mutual Dell last Friday evening. They listened to a program of ghost stories, songs and other entertaining features- A picnic luncheon was enjoyed. Among those who attended con-J con-J ference at Salt Lake City were stake president W- W. Warnick, Alex Wad-ley, Wad-ley, Bishop L- M- Atwood, , Bishop B. H. Adams, H. C. Robertson, C-R. C-R. Clark, James D. Thorne, Thomas Fenton, Velace Radmall and A. L. Cullimore. Mrs- A- J. V'arnicb was hostess to the ladies of the Mothers Club at her Manila ward home. Mrs. E. A. Beck gave the lesson on the lives of Lillie Pom and Madame Galli Curci, contemporary women of grand opera. She gave several of their songs through phonograph records Delicious refreshments were served by the- hostess. Relief Society ward conference programs will be given next Sunday evening in the Lindon, Windsor and Pleasant Grove First wards. A good attendance will be appreciated at all three wards. Graveside services were held and interment was made in the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove cemetery Tuesday for August Au-gust Peterson of Salt Lake City, a brother-in-law of Mrs. H- I. Wright and husband of Emily Bezzant Peterson, Peter-son, formerly of this city. Mr. Peterson' Peter-son' was a member of the Salt Lake police for a number of years. Mrs- J. O. Clark served dinner to Mr J- H. Adams, George Adams, Mrs. Pearl Adams and Mrs. Althca Halliday on Thursday evening- The occasion was Mrs. Adams' and Mrs. HaUiday's birthdays, also m commemoration com-memoration of her deceased husband's, hus-band's, J- O. Clark's, birthday. They all came on the same day. Mr. J- H. Adams a nd Mrs. Althea Halliday were quietly married at SUlt Lake City, Friday. October 4-They 4-They served a delicious dinner on Sunday to the members of Mr. Adams' Ad-ams' family who were available and broke the news to them. Those present were Dr. and Mrs. G- b. Richards, Mrs. Junius Adams 01 American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robbins of Lehi. Mrs. J- R- Adams, Gcoi'-n Adams and Mrs- J. O. Calk, Mrs Eliza Banks of Pleasant Grove, and' Mr- H. C. Webster of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Halliday is a sister to Mr. Adams' former wife- Mr- and Mrs- Josiah Kemp attend- j ed the Utah-Juab county firemens' convention at Eureka, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. William L- Greene were business visitors at Provo Tuesday-Mrs. Elizabeth Ferguson of Edge-mont, Edge-mont, spent Monday here with her mother, Mrs. W. L- Greene. Mrs. Alfred Dexter visited Wednesday Wed-nesday with her niece, Mrs. James Nielson, of Lehi. i Mr. and Mrs. Reed Orton are rejoicing re-joicing over the arrival of a winsome win-some baby girl, born last Thursday. Van Wagoner Wag-oner of Midway, visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. John Boulter. Mr- and Mrs- Owen Harding and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Harding of Provo, Pro-vo, Mrs. John Boulter and granddaughter, grand-daughter, Evada Gardiner, visited true fair in Salt Lake City Monday- The Timpanogos stake genealogical genealogi-cal board members held a meeting last Monday night at the home of Mr- and Mrs. Clarence Hilton to plan the coming) winter's work. Marion Whitely, who suffered a broken hip about a month ago, is at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Swenson, and is still in a helpless and Mrs- Odis Yancey attended attend-ed the fair at Salt Lake City last Monday and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Green and Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Giles at Salt Lake City- ! Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Cragun attended at-tended the Canadian missionary reunion re-union at Salt Lake City Saturday evening- Their son, Rumel, is at Windsor, Ontario, Canada, doing missionary work now. The regular monthly union meeting meet-ing of the Relief Societies of the Timpanogos stake will be held in the Second ward chapel Sunday afternoon af-ternoon at 2 o'clock p. m. All officers offi-cers and teachers are urged to be present. Mr. and Mrs- Thomas Fenton and Mr. and Mrs. James D. Thorne enjoyed en-joyed a trip around the Timpanogos loop Monday afternoon. The scenic beauty of the hills, with yellow as- j pens, red maple and other hues in-; termingled is food for the lover of j the beautiful in nature. I About twenty-five representatives! from the Timpanogos stake attend- j ed the annual meeting of the Tim-j panogfos council of boy scouts at the j Brigham Young University Monday ; evening- This group consists of all of the state of Utah, from Utah county to the southern boundary of the state. Some of the representatives representa-tives came from as far south as Kanab, Utah.
