The annual election of officers will be conducted by the American Legion Auxiliary Friday evening in the Legion Memorial Hall. It is desired de-sired all members be present. The Jolly Sewing club met at the home of their leader, Miss Helen Green, Wednesday afternoon and darned stockings. After chatting for a while the assignment for next meeting was assigned, it being a study of pajama patterns. The Sewing Sextette club met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Mer-ling Mer-ling Clyde and elected the following officers: Helen Green, president; Ruth Harman, vice president; Viva Peterson, secretary and treasurer; Betty Ann Laurson, song and cheer leader. Mrs. Clyde and Mrs. Melba Hindley are the leaders. Miss Dorothy Doro-thy Stewart, home demonstration agent, assisted the girls in planning their program for the year. The project chosen was "A Complete Costume." They will major in sewing sew-ing adopting the slogan "I Am My Own Artist", they will minor in charm and what makes a girl charming. Other members are Mary Jane Jacklin and Helen Johnson. Am. Fork Locals Miss Irene Binns spent last week In American Fork with her mother, Mrs. Nell Binns. Miss Binns is attending at-tending the nurses school at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake. Mrs. Ralph Boien of Los Angeles left Saturday for her home after visiting for a month at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Miller. The DcHha Dames club met at the home of Mrs. Lucille Parduhn Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon and enjoyed a crazy costume party. Special guests were Mrs. Creed Kindred, Mrs. Clyde Linebaugh and Mrs. Lee Peterson. Pet-erson. Mrs. Kindred won the guest prize, Mrs. Helen Bate the club prize and Mrs. Myrtle Mercer the best costume award. Miss Berna Grant of Provo is visiting at the home of Mrs. Joseph Mecham. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Douglas and son of Salt Lake City, were visitors at the home of Mrs. Douglas' parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Sticei . |
