Show Recreation Night, Concert Attract CrowdOf 1,000 A crowd estimated at more than 1,000 gathered at the recreation center cen-ter on the high school campus Friday Fri-day night, for the recreation night activities. Featuring the evening were a dance review, under direction of 1 Miss Laura Banner, a band concert, under direction of Irwin Jensen; softball games between the Pleasant ' Grove and Springville women's teams and between Sharon and Windsor men's teams; and a handicraft handi-craft exhibit. The dance program was presented as a review of the season's activities activi-ties in this line of recreation. The young dancers staged a very successful suc-cessful review, and won the applause of all attending. The handicraft display, arranged on tables where it was viewed by the interested spectators, exhibited the many types of articles made in the j handicraft classes during the season. The band concert was the last of a fine series presented by the local band during the summer season. Tuesday, August 15, at 5 p. m., there will be a nature hike featuring bird-study, designed especially for Scouts and Scoutmasters. The birds to be studied first will be humming birds and all kinds of sparrows their appearance, habits and peculiarities. pecu-liarities.
