Show Birthday Fete To Honor Resident Surrounded by members of his family and friends, Thomas C. Day of Pleasant Grove will celebrate his eightieth birthday at Vivian Park in Provo canyon Sunday, August 13. A son of Thomas and Charlotte Clark Day, Mr. Day was born in Spanish Fork, August 14, 1859. As a boy he accompanied his parents on the "Muddy Mission", which was located in the southeast corner of Nevada. He has experienced all the hardships of pioneer life. He married Anna Eliza Berry of Salt Lake City, September 19, 1888. Since then he engaged in farming I in the Uintah Basin. On February 3, 1928, his wife died, and shortly afterwards he ' gave up his home. j For the past four years he has been I living in Pleasant Grove at the home j of his son, Heber Day. ! Mr. Day's five living children will be present at the family gathering Sunday. They are Mrs. Fanny Stott and Willard Day of Roosevelt, Leonard Leon-ard Day of Salt Lake City, Zela Lloyd Day of Ioka, and Heber Day of Pleasant Grove. He has 29 grand- ) children and 7 great-grandchildren. |
