Show Big Exhibit Of Handcraft Work To Open Friday Doors will open this afternoon at 4 o'clock on one of the finest exhibits ex-hibits of its kind ever staged in American Fork the Art and Crafts exhibit arranged by the community recreation department. More than 500 articles of handcraft hand-craft will be on display at the exhibit, ex-hibit, which will be held in the Harrington school amusement rooms. At 8 p. m. a musical program will be presented as an added feature of the event. With a large collection of novel and artistic pieces of handcraft work already arranged in the exhibit, recreation re-creation workers late this week issued is-sued a call for additional articles. Additional entries will be in time if they are brought to the Harrington school between 1 and 4 p. m. today (Friday), the recreation workers announced. an-nounced. After a long period of planning and work, recreation leaders Thursday Thurs-day were completing arrangements for the exhibit. By actual count, I more than 500 persor s have partici- pated in arts and crafts classes; during the past winter, and most of ' these will be represented with at least one article. As a result, the! exhibit is expected to be representa-tive representa-tive as well as large. Hammered wood pictures, scrap-books, scrap-books, woven novelties, leather articles, ar-ticles, and a variety of other useful and decorative things have been made by students in the arts and crafts classes. Assembled at the Harrington school amusement rooms, these hundreds of articles have been arranged in an attractive and interesting inter-esting display. Special entertainment features have been obtained for the program in the evening. In charge of the Arts and Crafts exhibit are Mrs. Ellen Tracy, Mrs. beck. i |
