Show D. U. P. Camps To Meet; County I' Convention Set The American Fork camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers will hold its November meeting at the home of Mrs. Ada Barratt, Thursday, Thurs-day, November 9, at 2 o'clock. A program for the occasion is being arranged under direction of Mrs. Verl Simpson. The history of George Proctor will be given. The lesson on "The Scandinavian Contribution to Utah" will be given by members of the camp, in charge of Mrs. Merling D. Clyde. Members of the Adams camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers will hold a meeting Thursday afternoon, November 9, at 2 o'clock, at the home of Mrs. Eleanor Grant. Mrs. Myrtle Seastrand will give the lesson, les-son, and the history of Charlotte R. Dansie will be given. All members are urged to be present. Daughters of Utah Pioneers will hold the county convention Saturday, Satur-day, November 4, at the Fourth ward chapel in Provo, it was announced an-nounced by local officers of the organization or-ganization this week. Sessions will 'be held at 10 a. m. and 1:30 p. m. The morning session ses-sion will be devoted to departmental departmen-tal work, while the afternoon meet- ing win oe given over to omcers reports re-ports and the program. A hot lunch will be served at noon, at a small cost. The Daughters of Utah Pioneers chorus of American Fork will sing at the afternoon session. Mrs. Mae Halliday is director, and Mrs. Hay-dee Hay-dee Iverson, accompanist, of this group. All D. U. P. officers of the local camps, and especially the clippings chairmen and good cheer leaders, are being urged to attend the county coun-ty convention. o |
