Show One Sided Game Here Wednesday Did you hear about that baseball game Wednesday? Or was it just a batting practice for Pleasant Grove? Well, anyhow, the scorers chalked up a game and reported that Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove won 27 to 11. The game was played on the American Fork home lot and the locals used four pitchers, their entire assembly, to retire re-tire the hard hitting Berrypickers in nine hectic innings. Young started for the locals, followed fol-lowed by Lee, Ingersoll and then Mercer. Richards pitched seven of the nine innings for the visitors retiring re-tiring in favor of Jacobs. American Fork led 3 to 1 in the first innings but in the third the visitors started with 5 and again in the fourth they got 5 more. In the eighth they garnered 11. C. Chipman and Ash connected for home run smaks. C. Nelson was the umpire. The club goes to Orem on Saturday Satur-day and meets iPayson here next Wednesday. |
