Show Funeral Services Held For Thomas Lemont Tidwell Impresive funeral services were conducted in the Third ward chapel Saturday morning, December 28, at 10 o'clock for Thomas Lemont Tidwell, Tid-well, 46, who died the day before Christmas, " of injuries sustained when struck by, an automobile the day previous. Bishop John Hunter officiated at the services which opened with a vocal duet "Farewell All Earthly Honors" sung by Mrs. Leona Anderson Ander-son and Mrs. Clara Rhodes. The invocation in-vocation was gtfven by Francis B. Abel. The next musical number L-o- onnther selection by Mesdames Anderson and Rhodes. The speakers were A. B. Allen, G. Edward Abel and President C. E. Young. Each of them conveyed many words of consolement to the bereaved family. The concluding musical selection was another duet by Mesdames Anderson An-derson and Rhodes, after which John Jacklin pronounced the benediction. The body was then taken to Nepln, the birthplace of the deceased, for interment. Hans Christensen and John E. Berg took the family in their cars to the final resting place. |
