Show Free Prizes of $100.00 to be Awarded at Cooking School MISS EVELYN HANSEN, NEW HOME SERVICE SUPERVISOR OF PROVO, WELL BE FEATURED Today (Friday) and Saturday at Firm-age hall the local electrical dealers are sponsoring a free cooking cook-ing school demonstrating the latest methods, of electric cooking, refrigeration refrig-eration and the use of small appliances. ap-pliances. All of the latest wrinkles in food preparation and appliance operation opera-tion will be discussed and demonstrated. demon-strated. Recipes will be passed out to every lady present. Bring your questions and problems with you. Every lady who attends the school Friday and Saturday afternoon will receive a free prize in addition to the $100 worth of prizes which will be awarded. The $100 worth of prizes will include in-clude 16 large baskets of food, an electric toaster and the grand prize, a $25.00 electric roaster. Following is the program of events: Friday afternoon at 2 p. m. the electric range, electric roaster and other appliances will be featured. At the close of the school Friday afternoon six baskets of food will be given away and various food dishes which have been prepared at the school will be given away also. Friday evening at 7:30 p. m. there will be a musical program including the following numbers: Violin selection se-lection under direction of Grace Parker; piano solo, Miss Bertha Clarke; duet, Jay and Melvin Anderson, An-derson, and a kitchen clinic. The kitchen clinic will emphasize the work centers in a modern kitchen and how to plan these centers and save hundreds of steps in the preparation prep-aration of meals. Also the proper arrangements of appliances in your kitchen. You can't afford to miss the important program, those in charge announce. Mrs. Jean Neldon of Provo will be featured in the kitchen clinic program. pro-gram. At the close of the clinic four baskets of food and an electric toaster will be given away. Both men and women are invited to the evening program and all present may participate in the drawing. Saturday afternoon the final program pro-gram of the school will begin at 2 p. m. At this session, under the direction of Miss Evelyn Hansen, the electric refrigerator will be featured fea-tured and the many uses of small appliances will be demonstrated. At the close of the school Saturday Satur-day afternoon six baskets of food will be given away, all of the attendance at-tendance cards from all three sessions ses-sions to be placed in a basket for the final drawing on the electric roaster. The owner of the lucky card will be presented with the roaster. Here are the rules for the drawing: draw-ing: 1. No dealer or dealer's wife may receive the prize. 2. The lady who wins the roaster must be married. mar-ried. Every lady in American Fork, Lehi Le-hi and Pleasant Grove is invited to be present. Bring your pencil and note book. Chipmans Mercantile.
