Show ; o YOUNG MUSICIANS TO GET CHANCE IN STOCKOWSKI GROUP Mr. Leopold Stokowski, noted American orchestra leader, is forming form-ing what is termed an Ail-American Youth Orchestra for a good will tour of Central and South American countries during the three summer months, beginning in June. Participants in this orchestra will be paid normal wages for this type of work during the period of the tour. This is an opportunity for youth of musical ability and those selected for the orchestra, as well as the states from which they come, will receive a great deal of publicity. Preliminary auditions for the State of Utah will be held Monday, February 19, at 9 a. m. in the Mc-Cune Mc-Cune School of Music. Final auditions audi-tions will be held the same afternoon after-noon at the Utah Art Center, 59 South State street, at 2 p. m. Youth between the ages of 18 and 25 are eligible and those who are interested should make application to the National Youth Administration, Administra-tion, 516 Newhouse Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, before February 10, 1940. |
