Clay son Will Be Delegate To National Farm Meet It was the unanimous vote of the directors at the directors meeting of the Utah County Farm Bureau held Monday afternoon in the City and County Building at Provo, that Ell J. Clayson, president of the County Farm: Bureau, be sent to the National i Farm Bureau convention to be held ! in Chicago on December 6 to 17 inclusive. in-clusive. President Eph Bergenson pledged j the support of the Utah Farm Bureau ' in assisting Utah county in making 1930 a banner year. In his remarks I he reported that the state organiza-I organiza-I tion were doing all in their power to equalize the present tax system. L. L. Bunnetll, vice-president or the state organization, urged that plans be made to enlarge and strengthen the local Farm Bureau. Reports were given by Mrs. Elmer Christensen of Spanish Fork, who recently re-cently returned from the State Women's Wo-men's school at Logan ; H. V. Swenson district agricultural inspector; county coun-ty agents, W. J. Thayne and Anson B-Call, B-Call, and Mrs. David Evans of I-flke Shore. A basketball league similar to 1he baseball league that was carried out last summer so successfully, was dis-. cussed. It was planned that such n. league be organized and that a schedule sched-ule be drawn up and presented at the ! next meeting. It is planned that 14 teams will participate in the activity. ! O |
