Show P.-T. A. Week Being Observed Ob-served Throughout State Governor Henry H. Blood lias issued is-sued a proclamation declaring this week, November 1 to 6, inclusive, P.-T. A. week throughout the entire state. As the National Parent-Teachers convention will be held in Salt Lake City on May 15, 1938, at which time 15,000 guests are expected, all officers offi-cers of this association are uniting to make this a banner year in the state of Utah. The slogan, "Every Home in Utah in P.-T. A. Membership," has been adopted by the organization for this year. I P.-T. A. has one aim "the welfare of children." Regardless of our station sta-tion in life, our vocations, our hobbies hob-bies and outside contacts, our fundamental fund-amental interests in life is the interest inter-est in our children. How can the father in the whirl of business life or the mother trying try-ing to function at so many home duties understand modern children unless he or she has some intelligent intelli-gent contact with the school of today to-day its changes in methods and curriculum. A., the parent should become a better parent, par-ent, and be willing to place service to childhood above all else. I r |
