Show Alpine News i ; Mrs. Leonard Bates, Reporter ! The Misses Doris and Ruth Forbes For-bes left Friday for an indefinite visit with their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jensen at Emery. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hunter received re-ceived word last week of the birth of a daughter at the home of their daughter, Halla, and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert "Wirth of Salt Lake. Mrs. Hunter is visiting at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Crookstan, at Salt Lake. Mrs. Loy Beck entertained the Young Mothers club at her home Thursday afternoon of last week. The time was spent in sewing quilt blocks for the Relief Society. Mrs. Beck being a member of the sewing sew-ing committee. The Relief Society are planning for a bazaar for Valentine day. A short program will be given in addition ad-dition to the display of articles to be sold. The Alpine ward M. I. A. will hold their annual Gold and Green ball in the gymnasium February 7th. Miss Erma Smith will be queen and will be attended by Miss Beth Mc-Daniel Mc-Daniel and Miss Norma Clark. Another of those delicious dinners din-ners will be served Friday evening from' 4:30 till 8 p. m. in the banquet hall of the church to obtain means to pay off the indebtedness on the church. |
