Show Pleasant Grove Locals i Eugene Allred is visiting with relatives rela-tives in California. I Mrs. Annie J. Pierce is seriously ill at the home of her son, P. L. Culmer, in Lindon. Mrs. Eugene Hillman of Payson, is visiting this week with Mrs. Annie Hillman and family. Mr. and Mrs. Vet Clark of Lehi, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Harding Saturday. Mrs. Annie Holman is ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Delbert 1 Chipman of American Pork. i Mrs. Elizabeth Ferguson of Edge-mont Edge-mont was the guest of her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Green, Tuesday. i Mrs. Verda Walker and family of Ogden, were dinner guests of Mrs. Ethel West on Thanksgiving day- Maurice Fair, who has spent the past two months in Los Angeles, returned home Sunday. He expects to return to his job there early in the week. Oswald Farr and Blaine Richards will accompany him. Harvey Smith, who is attending a pharmacy school at Pocatello was a guest of his parents, Mr- and Mrs. George L. Smith, from Tuesday of last week until Sunday night. Mrs. Elisabeth Farr, matron at the Utah County Infirmary, spent Thanksgiving afternoon with her family here. Mrs. Rose B. Hayes returned Sunday Sun-day from Provo, where she spent the Thanksgiving holidays with her son, Isaac. Elisha T. Mayhew left Friday for California to visit for ten days with his daughters, Rhoda and Florence, who reside there. Mr. and Mrs. David B. Thome and Mr. and Mrs. Lawerence Walker will spend today, (Friday) at the Salt Lake temple. Mrs. Sadie Chandler entertained the members of her family at dinner din-ner on Thanksgiving day- Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mills and family, Mrs. Annie Mills and Mr. and Mrs. George L. Smith and family. Mr- and Mrs. Archie Boren had as their guests on Thanksgiving their two daughters and son-in-laws' Mr. and Mrs- Milton Kirk and baby of Consumers, and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Butt of Lehi. Penrose Jordan of S'an Jose, Calif-, called on Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Clark Tuesday. He knew the Clark family fam-ily while they were doing missionary mission-ary work in California;. At present Mr- Jordan is a student of the B-Y. B-Y. U. The Misses Winnifredi (and Josephine Jo-sephine Farr, who are employed by the Sweet Candy company at Salt Lake City, spent Thanksgiving day with relatives here. Other guests at the Farr home were Mrs- Ellen Jones and daughter, Josephine, of Provo, former Mexico friends of the family. Walk-er. A real family reunion was enjoyed- Mr- and Mrs. D. B. Thorne enjoyed en-joyed a family reunion on Thanksgiving Thanks-giving day. The Misses Maxine Walker, Carol Harris and Dorothy Mayhew entertained enter-tained Saturday evening at a shower show-er at the Walker home in honor of Dorthy Harris Kerr, a bride of the week. The evening was spent in playing miscellaneous games. Merrill, editor of the Improvement Era, and widely known state educator, will be the principal speaker at the First ward sacrament meeting next Sunday evening. The scouts of the ward are sponsoring the program and will provide the musical numbers. Mrs. C. A. Cobbley entertained at a quilting Thursday afternoon for the Lindon ward Relief Society. The following ladies were invited: Mrs. Lizzie Robbins, Mrs. Roxie Green, Mrs. Hattie Bezzant, Mrs. Jennie Allred, Mrs. Pearl Rhodeback and Mrs. D. B. Thorne. Refreshments were served by the hostess.
