Show Volunteers sought for County Fair Utah County did not have a fair in 1989 because of a deficit from the year before, but things will be different in 1990 with the formation forma-tion of a volunteer fair committee. Gerald Andersen of Provo has been named as chairman with Mel Hudman of Spanish Fork as executive execu-tive secretary, Bill Wright of Elberta as South Area administrative assistant, as-sistant, Dave Harvey of Pleasant Grove as North Area administrative administra-tive assistant, and Sid Sandberg of Provo working on the finance committee. com-mittee. The goal of the committee is to provide the citizens of the county with a fair which is in keeping with past traditions of great fairs m. Utah County. The city of Spanish Fork has offered the facilities at it's fairground fair-ground complex, free of charge, for this event which will be he'd the week of Aug. 6 through 11, 1990. In view of the extraordinarily tightbudgetin county government, combined with an effort to avoid raising taxes for this purpose, the committee is seeking volunteer help and financial sponsors for the fair. Anyone wishing to donate time or money, please contact one of the committee members. |
