Grant Fowles honored by Kiwanis Club In a recent ceremony the Kiwanis Citizen of the Year award was presented to Grant Fowles of Pleasant Grove. This annual award is given to the citizen selected by the local Kiwanis Club for outstanding out-standing service to the community. Grant grew up in Pleasant Grove and all his life has been known for his willing service to his fellowmen. Following service in World War II he went to work for the City of Pleasant Grove in the Maintenance Dept. and retired from those duties in June of 1987. His selfless contributions con-tributions to the city are known to many including twelve years of service to the Boy Scouts of America during which he was known for his many fifty-mile hikes with the Scouts. Grant and his wife, Virginia, are the parents of six children and have 20 grandchildren. Pleasant Grove is all the better for the service of this outstanding citizen and the Kiwanis Club is proud to present its Outstanding Out-standing Citizen award to him.
