Popular melodrama to open Friday in Lindon's Valley Center Playhouse 'Curses, Foiled Again,' a good old fashioned musical melodrama, opens this Friday at the Valley Center Playhouse, 780 N. 200 East, Lindon. Performances will begin at 8 p.m. and run every Friday, Saturday and Monday through January. Can our hero, Jedediah Justice, of ' Justice Junction, played by Brad Allred, overcome the evil villian, Delvin Dastardly, played by Steve Macy, and win the hand of our heroine Polly Praiseworthy, played by Nancy Wilson? Will he be able to reunite Polly's parents, Peter, played by Bill Brown and Portia Praiseworthy, played by Janene Fuller, now that Peter has been unjustly jailed? All these questions are answered for the audience as the Mistress of Ceremonies part shared by Claudine Boothe and Alana Hill, " tells the story and prompts the audience in booing and hissing the villian, cheering the hero and ; sighing for the heroine. Reviews have followed 'Curses' opening such as "Rollicking en- - y tertainment," and "Best melodrama I've ever seen," from the Daily Herald. The rest of the cast are as follows: Penny Praiseworthy, Julie Renstrom; Penrose, her younger brother, Javin Tanner; Duncan Dastardly, villian's younger brother, John Carter; Sheriff, Keith Renstrom; the Parson, Les Holman.
