Show H Cancer clinic "plans made A Cancer Clinic will be held in Pleasant Grove on Tuesday, March 3, 1987 from 8:45-3:45 p.m. at the P.G. East Stake Center. The Utah County Health Department will conduct privately, a cancer screening clinic especially for women. Statistics tell us that one of every four women in Utah is likely to IllCt develop cancer at some time in her life. To help protect herself a woman may come to the clinic for a breast and pelvic exam, Pap Smear, blood pressure reading, health counseling, medical referral, refer-ral, if necessary and obtain a kit to check her stool lor blood. Early detection of cancer is one of the keys to cure. Women are en- , couraged to attend if they are 20 years of age or older, have a family history of cancer, have not had a 3 pep smear for three years or longer, need their annual pap smear as recommended by the American College of Gynecologists, have not had their annual breast exam by their private physician, have genital herpes, take oral contraceptives, con-traceptives, have an IUD, or are taking menopausal hormones, were exposed to DES, sexually active and i under age 20, have had a rll hysterectomy due to cancer or if they need a stool b lood test kid for A male or female. A small fee will be charged ac-.jcording ac-.jcording to income. No one will be 1 denied services because of inability i to pay. Each appointment takes about one hour. Pap smears will not be done if the patient is pregnant, menstrurating, or being treated for vaginal infection. Patients should ifl not douche 24 hours before ap-pointment. ap-pointment.
