A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7 to 9 at the American Fork East Stake Center, 825 E. 500 North. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Maid of honor is Anita Healey, with Danielle Ashton and Bonnie Lafferty as bridesmaids. Best man will be Willy Adams, with Ed Adams and Kyle Dubois attending. Special guests at the wedding will be grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Healey, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Dubois and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Allen. Prenuptial showers were given by Janene Dubois, Danielle Ashton, Bonnie Lafferty, Sandra Walker, Julia, Anita and Norma Healey. The bride-elec- t graduated from American Fork High School and LDS Seminary. She has attended Utah Technical College in Orem and Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Her fiance graduated from American Fork High School and LDS Seminary. He has served in the U.S. Army in Fort Dix, New Jersey, Fort Eustis, Virginia and is presently stationed at Aberdene Proving Grounds, Maryland. The couple will make their first home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he will be stationed at Fort Carson. RaKell Dubois a Merrill Adams Shari Warnick, Dale E. Kendall to recite marriage vows in S.L. Temple ''V' 'IS. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Boyd L. Warnick, Salt Lake City, former residents of Pleasant Grove, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Shari, to Dale E. Kendall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Kendall, West Valley City. The couple will exchange marriage vows in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Friday, May 8. Following the wedding ceremony, a wedding breakfast, hosted by the groom's parents, will be held at the Lion House. A reception will honor the newlyweds that same evening from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Seven Oaks Reception Center, 6775 S. 900 East, Salt Lake City. Attending the bride will be her sisters, Annette Warnick, Diane Follett, Susan Harrison, Mimi Warnick and the groom's sister, Mary Kendall. Junior bridesmaids will be the bride's niece, Emily Harrison, and the groom's sister, Kathy Kendall. Attending the groom will be his brothers, Darren and Mike Kendall. Ushers will be the bride's brothers, Paul Warnick, Randy Harrison and Bob Follett. Pre-nupti- showers have been given by Natalie Gustafson, Sally Barbour, Sheri McAllister, Yulene Rushton, Joni Warr, Diana Kendall and Jane Warnick. Shari is a graduate of Taylorsville High School and is attending Salt Lake Community College. Dale also graduated from Taylorsville High, attended the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College. He served a mission in Brussels, Belgium. Westminster College of Salt Lake City announces that Carol Mac-Farlan- e, Pleasant Grove, is the recipient of a $1000 scholarship for the 1987-8- 8 academic year. Ms. Peggy Knotts of Spanish Fork and Doug and Brenda Knotts of Wellington, are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kamette, to Weston K. Carlson, the son of Kent and Jewell Carlson, Pleasant Grove. The couple will exchange vows at the Utah Valley Archery Center on May 8. The newlyweds will be honored at a reception that same evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Archery Center, 1255 North 1200 West, Orem. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Seniors plan trip to Price, announce upcoming events, list week's menus The Pleasant Grove Senior Citizens Center will be closed on Tuesday, May 12, so that the seniors can have lunch in Price at the Senior Citizen Center there. Ruth Hassenfritz, director of the center, said that a bus will leave Pleasant Grove at 9: 15 a.m. on May 12. Those planning to make the trip to Price should call for reservations at An article in the most recent issue of "The Golden Age" on the American Society on Aging con-ference held in March was written by Pleasant Grove's own Elna L. Burgener and the accompanying photos were taken by Ruth Hassenfritz. Elna, an accomplished writer who has had works published in a variety of publications, including "Parents" Magazine, wrote a review of the conference for the publication. Ruth, who provided many pictures for the Pleasant Grove-Lindo- n Area Chamber of Commerce brochure, took a variety of pictures at the conference for publication in "The Golden Age". Elna is the Out Reach represen-tative in Pleasant Grove and Ruth is Director of the Senior Citizen Center. Both are very active, and have been for many years, in aiding the senior citizens in the community. Copies of "The Golden Age" with the article and photos done by these two ladies can be viewed at the Senior Citizen Center in Pleasant Grove. Assistance for .Medical Claims On Monday, May 11, assistance will be available for Senior Citizens in making out medical claims both medicare and supplemental. This program will be held at the American Fork Hospital from 2 until 4 p.m. in the auditorium. Bowling Every Tuesday and Friday at 10 a.m. at the Jack and Jill Bowling Lanes the Senior men enjoy bowling. Anyone, male or female is welcome to join the group. High bowlers for the month of April are: Lige Chipman, 213; Vern McDaniel, 213; Bill Monson, 210; Art Steele, 208; Bill Wright, 208; Steve War-nick, 208; Lowell Brown, 201; Joe Martin, 201 ; and Bill King 200. Golfing Seniors can play golf at the Tri City course for $4 for nine holes. A cart will cost $5 for nine holes. Also available are annual passes. An individual season pass is $150; for a man and wife, $225. With these passes you can play as many holes as you like.
