Show 20th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED One of the high spots in the week's social events was the 20th wedding anniversary celebration in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Byrne, which took place at Smith Hall on last Thursday evening. Cook's orchestra furnished the music for the occasion which was augmented by several vocal selections. selec-tions. The main diversion was dancing. At midnight a banquet was served to the large number of friends who attended. The hall was beautifully decorated decor-ated for the event and a most enjoyable en-joyable time was had by those present!. Impromptu speeches were made and many hearty congratulations con-gratulations were extended to the host and hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Byrne were the recipients of many beautiful china gifts. Mrs. Boyd Barnard entertained at luncheon Saturday in honor of Mrs. John Flynn. Those present were Mrs. Fred Turner, Mrs. Flyn Mrs. Will Myers, and Mrs. Joe Kemp. ' Mrs. Jaes Denver was hostess too the V. G. G. I. G. Club Thurs- day evening at her home at Copp-erfield. Copp-erfield. Prizes at 500 were won by Mrs. Ivy Tery and Miss Hazel Fenton. Refreshments were served to Mrs. Terry, Mrs Fenton. Mrs. 0. A. Mugfur, Mrs Charles Winn, Mrs. Clinton Poulson, Mrs. Geo. P. Johnson, Mrs. W. E. Scott, Mrs. Miles McDonld, and Mrs.R. Cunliffe. |
