Scott of Lindon announce the marriage of their daughter Giala, on Nov. 23, 1985 to Leo Koetje, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Koetje, Sr. of Murray, Utah. A reception will honor them that same evening at the Lindon Lion's Club Building, Lindon. The bride-to-b- e will be attended by Margia Johnson, matron of honor and Darcy Davis, Wendy Marrott and Lisa Walter with Mikan Richins as flower girl. The future groom will be attended by Mark Tilt as best man and Tim Walter and Eddie Archuleta as groomsmen. Joshua Koetje will be ring bearer. Giala attended school in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Steven's Henager Business College. She is employed at Signetics. Leo attended school in Colorado and attended Colorado State University. Franco, Sr., from San Jose, California. The couple will be married Friday, November 22 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that same evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Timpanogos Stake Center, 800 North 100 West in Pleasant Grove. All friends are invited to attend. The bride graduated from Brigham Young University in August. She also served a mission for the LDS Church in Alabama. A shower was held for her by Elaine Smith of Alpine. The groom served an LDS Mission in the Mississippi Jackson Mission and is currently employed in Salt Lake City. Attending the bride will be her sisters, Beverly, Cecelia, Heather, Holly and Wendy Walker. The couple will make their home in Provo. Leno N. Honorary best man is Mark Millgate, who is presently in basic training. Rhonda graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary where she was a member of the A Cappella and Chamber Choirs. She will be attending beauty college Dec. 1 at American University in Orem and will con-tinue her present employment in Pleasant Grove. Chad also graduated from Pleasant Grove High School where he was a member of the A Cappella Choir and is an Eagle Scout. He recently returned from basic training for the Army Reserves and is employed at Hones Woodcraft in Pleasant Grove, and plans to go to school next fall. Miller birthday The family of Elden J. Miller will celebrate his 80th birthday with an open house on Nov. 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. at his home, 70 W. 200 North, American Fork. , All family members and friends are invited. He requests no gifts, please. Elden was born Nov. 22, 1905 in 'American Fork to John F. and Caroline Miller. He graduated from the American Fork High School in 1924. He married Selma Seastrand xlune 14, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS 'Temple. He is the father of four daughters : Mrs. Var (Jackie) Clark, Lehi; Mrs. John E. (Ann) Miller, Zweibrucken, W. Germany; Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Moore, Salt Lake City; Miss Rosemary Miller, Las Vegas, Nev. Elden has held many church positions - Superintendent of the Sunday School for four years; High Priest group leader; member of the Old Folks Committee for 20 years; and Era director for the Alpine Stake. He has loved and participated in many sports. He played baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed Softball and pitched for the 8th Ward in the LDS All Church Finals in 1963. He was also the manager and pitcher for the People's State Bank, playing in the city league. He loves working in his garden and in 1947 won first prize in the beautification contest for the best landscaped garden.
