Show Candy Contest Recipe Chewy Chocolate Balls By ANNETTE JEPPSON 1 cup milk chocolate chips 1 Tbsp. evaporated milk 2 Tbsp. white corn syrup 1 cup mini marshmallows 24 caramels 2 Tbsp. evaporated milk Vh cups chopped nuts Melt chips, 1 T. milk and syrup over hot water, just until they can be stirred smooth. Stir in marshmallows mar-shmallows (they shouldn't melt) and quickly spread in 8" square ' pan. Chill. Melt caramels and 2 T. milk over hot water. Stir until smooth and keep warm. Cut chocolate in 25 squares and shape , each into a ball or log; keep cool. "Holding balls over caramel pan with a fork, spread caramel over ball and roll in nuts. Keep caramel just warm enough to spread easily without melting chocolate. Makes 25 pieces. |
