Show Betty Liston places in Art City show Betty M. Liston, Pleasant Grove artist, received a second place in oils at the annual Springville Art Show held last weekend in connection con-nection with the annual Springville Art Days. Mrs. Liston also received an honorable mention in the same category. Harold Woolston, a former Pleasant Grove resident and Lehi native, took the sweepstakes award in the show with his acrylic painting of a landscape. Mr. Woolston also placed first in the watercolor division. Hoe Allman, Mapleton, placed second in the division. Donna Ralphs and Lou Jene Carter tied for first in the oil division. The show, sponsored by the Springville Museum of Art and the Utah Valley Artists Guild, attracted more than 200 entries. Show officials said it was "one of the best shows" they have had because of the "high quality entries." |
