Show Budget examined by school board The Alpine District Board of Education will get it's first look at the 1983-84 school budget this coming week as Superintendent Gary Keetch presents the group with preliminary projections for this coming fiscal year. The board will not make a final decision on the budget at this meeting, but a budget session is scheduled for June. Last year's budget for the operation of the fourth largest district in the state reached 70 million. The board will also continue discussion of the role of the board, the superintendent and the ad ministration. Future planning calls for specific role definitions for different levels of educational management. In other matters the board will: take action on a travel reimbursement reim-bursement policy for district employees, em-ployees, consider the format for monthly board meetings, review instructional scheduling for the senior high level, and allow the public the opportunity to address the board. The meeting will be held on May 10 at 6 p.m. in the district board room located at 39 North Center, American Fork. |
