Show lElectioms - Noo 8 Cities to fill council seats (Voters in Pleasant Grove, jndon and Cedar Hills will be choosing new council members in the municipal election to be held Nov. 8, next Tuesday, in each X community. Cedar Hills residents will also be asked to approve the sale of bonds for two different projects. Pleasant Grove residents will choose three new city council members for four year terms. (Candidates are John Frampton, David Faux, Brent Bullock of the Peoples Party and Mary West, Lloyd Ash and Fred Angus of the Citizens Party. Lindon citizens will fill vacancies in three four-year council positions. Candidates are Dean Blackhurst, Scott Cullimore and Darwin Carter of the Citizens Party and Ted Young, Leo Carter and LeRoy JackJin of the Progressive Party. In Cedar Hills the voters will select two four-year council members and one two-year council member. Seeking the four-year terms on the council are Margaret Susan Hurley, Mark Memmott and Steve Wood. Candidates for the two-year term are Judy Runolfson and Greg Harris. Cedar Hills residents will also be asked to approve an $80,000 bond proposal for construction of a civic center and fire station and of a $50,000 proposal for extending Cedar Hills Drive one-half mile west to meet the Utah State Training School road. City officials in all three communities urged all the registered voters to cast their ballots in this municipal election year. |
