Central Utah Water Conservancy Con-servancy District, Alpine Mayor nl Christiansen has now joined the rd of directors of that group. Although the appointments, which ; . lu(je four new members and three , Teappointments, were made Wed- nesday evening, April 13, the in-i in-i Sis weren't seated at the , cUWCD's board meeting on April The board indicated in that meeting that the seating would take place at the May 12 meeting of the district, with an orientation session scheduled for May 5. Other appointments made by Matheson are J. Neil Nielsen, Gunnison; Waldo Warnick, Sr., Delta; Thomas I. Baum, Heber; Robert B. Hilbert, Salt Lake City; Charles E. Crozier, Neola; and Rondal McKee, Tridelle. The new appointments are the first ones filled by Matheson under Senate Bill 11. Before the legislation gave that authority to the governor, appointments were made by the district court judges in the area. The appointments will serve three-year terms which expire on March 1, 1986. Six more directors on the 19-member board will see their terms expire next year, and six the year after, as the governor continues con-tinues to make new appointments from names submitted by local county commissioners. Christiansen has also been serving as chairman of the Timpanogos Planning and Water Management Agency, a group of mayors from cities in Northern Utah County.
