All friends and relatives are warmly invited. Steven served faithfully as a missionary and was instrumental in bringing many souls into the church. He was called as a district leader over the sister missionaries for a short time and seemed to enjoy that experience very much. At the present time, Steven is enrolled at the LDS Business College majoring in Data Processing. He is working part time at Sears, Roebuck and Co. and is living with his family in Salt Lake City. ELDER BRINGHURST Elder Steven Ralph Bringhurst, former resident, returned from the Texas Houston Mission on May 27. He is the son of Ralph Osborn Bringhurst of Pleasant Grove and Georgia Ashcraft Bringhurst of Salt Lake City. A homecoming will be held on June 28, in the American Fork East Jim Brown Receives Eagle Jim Brown, son of 0. Keith and Janice A. Brown, Plea-sant Grove, was presented his Eagle Badge by his scout-master, Darrell Harper, in a recent Court of Honor in the Pleasant Grove East Stake. Award and the Varsity Scout Letter. At Maple Dell last year he broke the ar-chery record. He has played center on the ninth grade basketball team. His favorite interests are basketball, skiine. motorcycling, hunting and golfing. For his Eagle project he built a grub box, on removable legs, to be used at camp. The box is provided with shelves and the front lets down to serve as a working area. Jim, 15, is the grand-son of Claudia Brown, Pleasant Grove, and he has one sister, Janalynn. He is a member of the Grove Ward where he is the teachers quorum president. A. v c ; J ( ' JIM BROWN I , - " ! c h II ELDER CHRISTENSEN Douglas Christensen To Serve Mission Douglas Neil Christensen, son of Neil C. and Alice Louise Christensen, from the Sixth War, Pleasant Grove Manila Stake, has been called to the Aukland, New Zealand Mission. The date of his farewell is June 28 at 1 p.m. in the 6th-10t- h Ward chapel, All friends and relatives are in-vited. Neil will enter the MTCJulyl6. He graduated from the Pleasant Grove High School and Seminary in 1980, and was a participant in wrestling. He attended Utah State University during 1980-8- Neil is an Eagle Scout, has received his Duty to God Award and has served in presidencies of Aaronic Priesthood Quorums. f 1 1 i V ELDER BRADY David Brady To Leave For Arizona Elder David Brady, Son of Bishop LaRoss and JoAnne Brady, has been called to the Arizona Holbrook Mission by the LDS Church. He will be honored at a farewell Sunday, June 28, at 10:50 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove Stake Center. Everyone is invited to attend. David graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS seminary. He has served in various leadership positions in his ward where he was the first assistant to the bishop and a Primary teacher. Allred, will be honored at a missionary farewell Sunday, June 28, at 3:45 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove First Ward, 275 E.500S. Elder Allred has been called to the Venezuela, Maracaibo Mission. He will enter the MTC on July 9. Elder Allred graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary in 1980. He attended Utah Technical College in ' Orem. Jeff enjoys scouting and has served as assistant scout master. He earned his Eagle. Badge and Duty to God j Award. He loves sports. All friends are invited to attend his farewell. 4-- H Kookie K utters Meet In Spencer Home The Kookie Kutters met at the home of their leader Valynne Spencer, and chose . officers and leaders.
