Show was a member of the LDS Church and was active in sports. He attended school in Lehi and Provo. Survivors are his wife, three sons and six daughters, William D "Bill" Fowler, St. George; James L. Fowler, American Fork; John Gordon Fowler, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Marlin (Donna) Barnes, Sally Fowler, Mrs. Calvin (Jane) Trane, all of Lehi; Mrs. Kent (Ann) Haslam, Tracy, Calif.; Mrs. Ronald (Janice) Roberts, Highland; Suzanne Fowler, Logan; 25 grandchildren; grand-children; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Austin, Lehi; brothers and sisters, Arlin Fowler, Auberry, Calif.; Bruce Fowler, Los Altos, Calif. ; Edmund Dale Fowler, Los Gatos, Calif. ; Kent Fowler, DeVere Fowler, Valdis Millet, Mrs. Wayne (Jatta) Allred, all of Lehi; Mrs. Pat (Iris) Harrison, Oakland, Calif; and Mrs. Jay (Shirley) Bell, Lake Oswego, Ore. Funeral services were held June 23, in the Second-Fifth-Ninth Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop Bruce Webb. The family prayer at the mortuary was offered by John Fowler. Shirley Fowler Bell then gave a life sketch written by Don's children which brought out some of the memorable incidents in their lives with their father. After the sketch the Sundowners played three musical numbers. Members of the group are Ken Greenwood, Marlin Barnes and Warren Fitzgerald. Following their musical numbers the grandchildren grand-children sang, "As I Have Loved You." Steven Eddington was the concluding speaker. At the church prelude and postlude music was played by Russell Daly and the invocation was offered by Bruce V. Fowler. LaVon Hansen played an organ medley of Don's favorite tunes after which Bishop Webb gave a few remarks. He was born Sept. 19, 1913 in Lehi to Daryl and Catherine "Kate" Christensen Fowler. He married Rebecca Ann "Betty" Laursen Nov. 4, 1939 in Provo. Mr. Fowler was a farmer and truck driver and owned his own trucking company. He |
