Fire Department Mark Johnson, fire chief, has indicated that there is a vacancy in the fire department and that applications are being accepted from men interested in serv-ing the community as a volunteer fireman. Anyone over the age of 21 is eligible for membership. To become a member of the department re-quires a two thirds ap-proval of the depart-ment members and an approval by the city council. Applications will be reviewed, the ap-plicant invited to at-tend a fire drill and meet with the firemen and then a vote will be taken on the applica-tion.
