Show P. G. Team In State Tourney i jlji are homeward bound. Udell Westover, playing his last season of ball for Pleasant Grove is perhaps the outstanding P. G. player in the tournament. Junior has been playing some fine ball, and on a winning club might see the experts pick him on the first team of the state. Carl Hamann is also playing a beautiful game in the two tournament games at the guard post. Vikings Lose 'Tough' Game In Second Round The Pleasant Grove Vikings lost a close one last night when they were handed a second round loss' by the strong Beaver quintet on the basis of a long shot with but 30 seconds to play. The loss was particularly heartbreaking to the Vikings as they had been outplaying outplay-ing the Beaver boys and with about four minutes to go had a six point lead that looked as if it would stand up. Pleasant Grove looked impressive impress-ive on Wednesday afternoon when they handed out the first loss of the tournment to Hurricane, in the opening game of the B class schools. The boys were picked to win against Beaver on the basis of this performance and it was only some bad luck at the basket that kept them from coming thru. With the record of one win and a loss now in the tournment, the Vikings will be playing against Monroe today to stay in the tournament tour-nament and get a try for fourth place on Saturday if they win.
