Show THURSDAY, JUNE 29, 1978 PLEASANT GROVE REVIEW, PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH THURSDAY. JUNE 29, 1978 'Man of La Mancha Gets Good Review at Villa and believable manner. The costuming was excellant and yet did not distract. The props and scenery were imaginative and very fun-ctional. The singing of the soloists and groups was beautifully performed. The Impossible Dream by Mr. Peter-son, a thrilling experience. This fine production is playing at the Villa Theatre in Springville through July 8th, with one matinee on July 1st Be sure to see this outstanding musical drama. Call 489-451- 3 for reservations. Jpf Ji Friday night marked the opening of Robert Peterson's Production of Man of La Mancha at the Villa Theatre in Springville. This intensly moving drama portraying the great Spanish novelist Cervantes is indeed a master piece of contrasts, of ideals and reality. The play itself pulls one into the conflict of good and evil and each person must decide for himself if he will be victim or victor in his own personal quest. Perhaps most evident of the fine qualities Robert Peterson displays in this production is his complete com-mitment to the part of Don Quixote. He is Don Quioxte and we are there feelings, hearing, responding to this gentle yet powerful nature. The audience will notice a slightly different twist to the story in the character of Aldonza. Mr. Peterson has used her role to lead the way to understanding the nature of the man Don Quixote - of all the players she is the most sensitive to impossible Dream. In doing this the contrast between Aldonza the kitchen wench and Dulsinea his Lady is toned down considerably but Miss Hurst-Hyd- e has herself done the impossible by carrying this part in such a sensitive DANCERS Virginia Tanner, center rehearses some of her students. Wednesday, July 5, 1978 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove City Hall to review and decide on the following requests. 7:00 p.m. George W. Fowers, 755 North 350 East is asking a three foot variance of front setback so he can add a bedroom and entrance to his house. City ordinance requires 15 ft. minimum front set-back. This gives him 22 feet setback. 7:05 p.m. Ural Sheppick, 330 South 100 East, wan-ts to build a storage shed on the south side of his house within 6 inches of the property line. City or-dinance requires 8 feet side yard. He is requesting a 7 ft. 6 in. variance. 7:10 Gary Young, 720 East 930 North, wants to build a retaining wall and place a fence on it. The total height of the two would be 12 ft. 6 in. from grade. City ordinance requires any unusual elevation problem like this be referred to the Board of Adjustments. 7:15 Brent Smith, 170 North 900 East wants to add a garage to his existing house. He will need a 3 foot variance on side yard to do so, City Ordinance requires 8 feet and only has 5. This meeting is open to the public and all in-terested citizens are in-vited to attend and ex-press their opinions.
