Show THURSDAY, MAY 5, 1977 PLEASANTGROVE REVIEW, PLEASANTGROVE UTAH THURSDAY, MAY 5, 1977 Two -- Hitter . . . Gary Jackson Shuts Out Carbon 2-- 0 In his first starting role as a pitcher, Gary Jackson threw a two hitter, shutting out Carbon, 2-- Jackson also scored the Vikings first run when he reached base on a third in-ning error and later scored when Mark Atwood doubled. That run proved to be all that was needed but Pg added another in the fifth inning. Klye Tolman led off the in-ning with a single, advanced to third on two wild pitches, then scored on Bret Fram-pton- s sacrifice fly. Actually Carbon's pitcher, Bruce Hatch, allowed only two hits. His downfall was wild pitches and three Dino errors. Played in just one hour and eight minutes, the game was a spectators delight filled with action and hustle. The Vikes are at Vernal today for a Region game with the Uintah Utes. '.Vs ; J ni T""' " "Ty zzjzzsT? FISHING AFLOAT Any boat can be a mobile fishing platform. No special rigging or equipment is required, unless your preference is a d tournament-styl- e bass boat. The fishing experts at Mercury outboards suggest that rod holders and a suitable anchor are basic accessories for most floating fishermen. An outboard or stern drive can add considerably 4o fishing fun. The boater can quickly maneu-ver to the hot spots, troll at leisure, or head upstream for a floating retu'rn.-'Whe- n you are through fishing for the day or just 'cruising, heed the reminder to steer wide of stationary fishermen. Lines will be strung out for many yards. Nautical laws specify that the boater is responsible for any damage caused by his wake.
