Show Sponsors in City Leagues With the city basketball program drawing to a close, Bill Hoglund offered appreciation ap-preciation to these sponsors of city league teams: S and S Enterprises, Design Construction Con-struction and Ivan Walker's Mobil. Sharell Carlson, owner of S and S Enterprises, sponsored a team for the second year in the men's fastbreak league. In his business he puts in footings and foundations for houses. He has owned his own company in Manila for four years. He hires from three to twenty employees depending on the season. Sharell enjoys hunting and sports, especially basketball and football, and has participated par-ticipated in races at the Roundabout Raceway. He is married to the former Sharee Frampton and they are the parents of five children. Design Construction Harry Peacock is the owner of Design Construction and builds commercial metal buildings. In his own business about four years, he is currently constructing the new Norton's Food Center in Pleasant Grove. He has been a contractor for eleven years. Harry enjoys hunting, fishing and horseback riding. His family owns a ranch in Mountain Home in Duchesne County and enjoy trips there. He is married to the former Janice Gillman and they are the parents of five boys. This year marked the first time he has sponsored a team in the men's league. Coaching his team this year is Ellis Allred. Walker's Mobil Ivan Walker sponsored the Lakers in the Bantam League the past two years. He also sponsors a team in the Colt League in the summer. Ivan is a wholesale dealer for Mobil Oil and also owns five gas stations from Provo to American Fork. Car washes are included in his self-service stations he said. He has been in the gas station business as an employee em-ployee or owner for 37 years. He likes to attend sporting events of all kinds and enjoys working travel. He and his wife, the former Colleen Christensen, live in Lindon. They are the parents of four children. |
