Tina is wearing Cliff's coveralls in the race, so he is naturally, going barechested. Winners Are Named af Last Week's Roundabout Races Robert Newman in his car 14 tied the record of 20.3 seconds in the stock class at Saturdays race. Jack Elwell didn't get his engine repairs made and timed the Pink Panther at 22.5 just to show that he can drive most anything. In the slow stock heat race Steve Stoker tried a new approach ap-proach to finishing by backing across the line. Greg Smith took the win. In the fast stock heat Norm Rhodes, Gordon Wright, and Robert Newman fought to the end but John Kunz took the win. The super stock heat race was a crowd pleaser as Howard Sorensen charged into the lead. Mel Radmall was pushing hard all the way and on the final lap took the lead for the win. Craig Chynoweth held a good lead and despite a flat tire went on to win the modified heat. The slow stock main saw a challenge by Reed Groo that brought the crowd to their feet. Paul Thornberg was doing some great racing when an overlapped car got in the way on the final straightaway and Reed took the win after grinds and bumps along the fence. The fast stock main was won by Gordon Wright after a battle with Steve Hansen. Sorensen Wins The final go round in the Super Stock class belonged to Howard Sorensen as he held the lead from wire to wire. Danny Houston took 2nd after working his way thru the pack from last position. Modified main event went to Mike Roundy. Special event of a Powder Puff race was held so that women drivers could try their hand at the wheel. Trina Campbell took the win. Dirt track racing can be anyones game. There is no way of predicting the outcome with so many variables. First of all a car needs a good starting position, then they need lots of luck to keep from spinning out, even more luck is needed that no one spins in front of you. There are flat tires and going over the dirt embankment, to contend with. So if your engine runs right, you don't spin out, go over the end, or no one gets in your way you just might take home a trophy from Roundabout Roun-dabout Raceway.
