Show At the Alhambra ... "It's a ice Boy for a Mirede" Stores of Alhombrci, Aug. 20 "It's a Nice Day for a Miracle", a new play written by Janice Thorne Dixon will be performed at the Alhambra Theatre beginning Aug. 20 at 8:00 p.m. The play which tells the story of the Hole in the Rock expedition is being supported by a grant given by the Utah Institute of Fine Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, Washington D.C. Performances of the play will be given on Aug. 20,21, 23-28 and 30 and 31st. Family rates will be in effect on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the run of the play. The excellent cast includes Will Hazlett. Adeline Johnson Becky Pitts, Quinn Pedersen, Glade Hill, John White, Rachael White, David Warnick, Otto Johnson, Denley Fowlke, Ron Coleman, Gary Anderson and LeRoy Christensen. The play is being directed by Duke Major, assistted by Florence Hazlett. costuming by Marcella Barette and hairstyles hair-styles by Judy Cook. For the premier performance on August 20, we are inviting as j special guests decendents nf the pioneers who made tliis horic trek through the Hole in the Rock, to come to a special ' reception before the performance per-formance at 7:00 at the Pleasant Grove city Hall 35 South Main. "It's a Nice Day for a Miracle" is a delightfully entertaining en-tertaining comedy- drama which gives insight into one of the most difficult wagon treks in all history and to the courageous pioneers who accomplished ac-complished it. Mrs. Dixon has used the real names and has made this play historically accurate and very entertaining. |
