Show Alpine District Needs . . . More Schools The school building needs of the Alpine School District are greater now than they have ever been and the need for passing on October 16, 1975 the up-coming proposed bond issue is crucial, according to a recent statement of Dr. R. Phil Shumway, vice president of the board. On the elementary level four hundred more children started kindergarten this fall than just four years ago. By the time these children who are currently in kindergarten and first grade reach the sixth grade, the district will need housing for twenty eight hundred additional elementary children or one hundred additional ad-ditional classrooms. Immediate needs call for new elementary schools in Orem and American Fork and an addition to the Valley View school in Pleasant Grove.
