Time, Temperature The switch was thrown Feb. 25 beginning operation of the first revolving time and temperature tem-perature sign in Pleasant Grove. The sign was installed at the junction of Main Street and Highway 91 by the Bank of Pleasant Grove as a service to the residents of northern Utah County. The revolving sign is over 8 feet by 8V2 feet in size and stands some 25 feet above ground level on a traffic island leased by the Bank of Pleasant Grove from Pleasant Grove City. The sign was constructed by the American Sign and Indicator Corporation and installation was handled by Rainbow Sign Company oi Salt Lake City. It is only the second of its kind between provo and Salt Lake City and will be in constant operation 24 hours a - -. -day. Kay L. Jacobs, President of the Bank of Pleasant Grove, announced that the site was selected as being the most ideal location to deliver time and temperature information to the greatest number of people both in Pleasant Grove and throughout the northern Utah County area. |
