RAMON BECK Assistant Cashier Ramon Beck Is Named as Assistant Cashier Ramon Beck received a promotion to assistant cashier at the Alpine Branch of the Bank of American Fork. He will continue to serve as manager of the Alpine Branch, however he will now enjoy full officer status. "This is important," Ramon explained. "Now any Bank of American Kork customer can receive full bank services at the Alpine Branch. Our whole banking operation is especially geared as a convenience for the areas commuters. Many people like to take the Alpine freeway exit and stop in at the bank on their way home from work. Now I can give them total banking services right here in Alpine." Ramon studied business and communications at BYU and he is a native of Alpine. More than 20,000,000 people, mostly children, received daily supplemental feeding. Emergency relief went to 7,000,000 victims of droughts or floods. Slow Break Basketball Has Packs Team with Zero Losses Results of last weeks games in the slow break ball shows Kasco stopping Mills 49 to 41 and the Ekins team losing to Carters 50 to 22. Packs got over Schoonover 43 to 32 to keep their record un-blemished and Wimmer won over P.G. Lumber 22 to 28. Lumber.... 0 7 .000 C ) ! - - "if w v'x4bJ STERLING HARRIS Named Vice President Sterling Harris Appointed as Vice President Sterling Harris of American Fork has recently been promoted to vice president of the Bank of American Fork. He has worked at the bank for three and one half years and specializes in all types of loans. His primary responsibility has been to oversee the installment loans for the bank. Although he grew up in American Fork, Sterling has worked for financial in-stitutions in Salt Lake City and Provo. He also serves as a director of the American Fork Chamber of Commerce. Funeral Rites for Dora D. Phillips Set for Saturday Funeral services for Dora Deveraux Phillips, 66, who died at the Utah Valley Hospital on Jan. 29 of cancer will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 at the mortuary and Saturday qrior to services. Mrs. Phillips was born Mar. 27, 1908 in Pleasant Grove to William and Bertha Sorenson Deveraux. She married Seth W. Phillips on Mar. 5, 1930 in Provo. He died in 1959. She was a member of Jevovah Witness. Survivors include four sons and one daughter, Jack, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Louise Lassen, Provo; Jay, Orem; Lee, American Fork; Glen, Centerfield; 24 grandchildren, 9 her mother, of Magna; two brothers and one sister, George Deveraux and Mrs. Delia Reid, both of Magna and Don Deveraux of American Fork. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery. CARE Recycles INDIA A total of $100,000 was raised by recycling be-tween six and seven thousand empty CARE cooking oil tins and flour bags at five and ten cents each respectively. The money is being used to help support CARE food and nutirtion education projects in India, where the agency feeds almost 11 million people daily. Sec. 29, T5S, R2E; and used for irrigation same as heretofore. Protests resisting the granting of this application with reasons therefor must be filed in duplicate with the State Engineer, 442 State Capitol, Salt Lake City, Utah 84114, on or before March 15, 1975.
