Show Funeral Rites Held Monday for Clem Edwin Shoell Funeral services for Clem Edwin Shoell, 80, who died at the Utah Valley Hospital last Thursday of causes incident to age, were held Monday, May 13 at 11 a.m. in the Lindon Second Sec-ond Ward Chapel. Bishop Nyle Harris officiated. Speakers at the services were Ray Walker and President Presi-dent Leon R. Walker, and a life sketch was given by Irene Jones. Bishop Harris also gave remarks. Musical numbers were sung by Audra Hooley and Annie Smith, accompanied by Lyneel Wilkinson, and by Karma Fryer, Fry-er, Janet Tomlinson and Lorna Fotheringham, accompanied by Karen Walker. Prayers were given by Lynn Jones, Paul Slack and John E. Tucker, and the grave was edd-icated edd-icated in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery by Bishop Lyle Thacker. Pallbearers were Glen Olson, George Shoell, Dennis and Steven Ste-ven Jacklin, Allen Williams, and Eddy Jones. Honorary pallbearers pall-bearers were Kenneth Olson and David Jones. Mr. Shoell was born Aug. 10, 1893 in Lindon to George Andrew An-drew and Elizabeth Hooper Shoell. He married Mary Ellen Surgiss on May 11, 1931 in He-ber He-ber City, and she died May 29, 1949. He married Rose Annie Olsen on Dec. 7, 1953 in Las Vegas. Mr. Shoell was a retired farmer. far-mer. He was a member of the LDS Church. He and his wife had moved into the Second Ward in Pleasant Grove, from Lindon. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, one son and one daughter, Wesley Shoell, Pleasant Grove and Mrs. Calton (Belva) Pearson, Pear-son, Denver; three stepdaughters stepdaugh-ters and one step son, Mrs. Marlin R. (Verdella) Jones, Lindon, Lin-don, Mrs. Clayton (Leah) Williams, Will-iams, Mills, Mrs. Niles (Shirley) Jacklin, San Maria, Calif., and Carl F. Olsen, Santaquin; 22 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister, Clarence Shoell, Lindon and Mrs. Violet Brown, Provo. |
