Show Grant Speeds Are Speakers at Cadmus Meeting Mr. and Mrs. Grant Speed were guest speakers to Cadmus Club members at their November Novem-ber meeting. Mrs. Donna Walker Walk-er effectively introduced them with a quote from President David O. McKay, "Let us real-oize real-oize that the privilege to work is a gift, that power to work is a blessing, that love of work is success." Sue and Grant are talented, gifted examples of our theme for the year. "Each of us have a gift." These two people had on display their creations, fashioned and made by themselves. them-selves. The painstaking detail examplified the quote. "A thing of beauty is a joy for-;ever." for-;ever." ;Sue chose to show the Cad-:mus Cad-:mus members what she had made in the line of Christmas decorations and used through the years. Such creativeness was almost beyond belief. She also shared with the members her cookied that were used at Relief Society Conferences. Grant explained the steps and processes that he has to do in order for the finished product to be so pleasing to the eye. All of the club members mem-bers felt most fortunate to have such a craftsman in our midst whose work is so in demand de-mand and yet he was so gracious grac-ious as to explanations of what his art entails. The members mem-bers understanding and appreciations appre-ciations were enlarged when they partially realized the hours of planning and labor that is necessary to create such finished objects of art. Daisy Nielsen conducted the meeting in the lovely home of Lucille Jense. Elaine Walker and Mrs. Nielsen were co-hostesses and served members with most delicious refreshments. |
