Show Funeral Services for Raymond Monson Held Wednesday Funeral Services for Raymond Ray-mond Earl Monson, '76, who died Sunday evening at his home of a heart attack were held Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. in the Manila Ward Chapel, Chap-el, under the direction of Bishop Bish-op Jesse J. Rutter. Speakers at the services were Patriarch Merrill N. War-nick War-nick and President David C. Harvey, and a life sketch was given by Beverly Monson. Bishop Rutter also gave brief remarks. Musical numbers were given by Terry and Irene Jenkins, at the piano and organ, a male quartet, Robert Monson, Ivan Monson, Willard Monson and Denton Jackson, sang "Oh My Father," and a vocal trio, Robert Rob-ert and Ivan Monson and Susan Haycock, sang "In the Garden" They were accompanied by Janet Harvey Garn and Lucy Haycock. Family prayer was given by Richard Monson, invocation by Warren S. Monson, and benediction bene-diction by Robert Monson. The grave, in the American Fork City Cemetery, was dedicated by Alvin E. Monson. Pallbearers were Fleming Fano, Edward Monson, Jerry Monson, Bruce Jenkins, Donald Monson, Bret Jenkins, Honorary Honor-ary pallbearers were the Manila Man-ila Ward High Priests. Mr. Monson was born April 16, 1896 in Pleasant Grove to Mons and Lydia Broberg Monson. Mon-son. He married Sarah Smith on Dec. 17, 1924 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a farmer farm-er and retired steelworker, and was active in the LDS Church. He was a member of the American Legion and was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow and four sons and one daughter, daugh-ter, Raymond Earl Monson Jr. and Mrs. Terry (Irene) Jenkins, both Pleasant Grove; Warren S. Monson, Concord, Calif.; Robert H. Monson, Inglewood, Calif.; Richard S. Monson, Monrovia, Mon-rovia, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Alvin Monson, American Ameri-can For kand a sister Mrs. Clark (Alice) Bronson, Midway |
