Show New Telephone Directory Out November 27 The 1972 edition of the Pro-vo Pro-vo telephone directory will be delivered to Utah County residents resi-dents starting November 27th, according to Mountain Bell District Manager W. Merrill Hymas. Hymas said more than 100,000 directories will be distributed dis-tributed to telephone customers custom-ers in the county by Product Development Corporation with the aid of local employes sup- plied through the Utah Office of Employment Security. This year's dirtectory is larger lar-ger than 1971, with 3,000 new listings in the white pages and 55 additional yellow pages. Hymas noted the increased pages reflected the growth of Provo, American Fork, Eureka, Eur-eka, Goshen, Lehi, Nephi, Or-em, Or-em, Payson, Pleasant Grove, Spanish Fork, Springville and Thistle. He said the yellow pages would also feature 24 mini-tours mini-tours of Utah. "We have placed 24 different differ-ent tours of the state as space fillers throughout the Yellow Pages. It's a small effort by us to promoe Utah, Hymus said. The cover of the new directory direct-ory features a photograph for the first time in several years. Displayed on the front is a close-up of a cluster of Indian Rice Grass in a sandy environment environ-ment with an expanse of blue sky in the background. Hymas urged all Utah County Coun-ty people to use the new directory dir-ectory for phone number and : address listings rather than calling directory assistance. "Our directory assistance operators receive many calls for numbers already listed in the book. This prevents them from taking requests for new numbers which aren't in the book or from helping someone who can't read the directory," Hymas said. |
