Show Funeral Services Held Saturday For William Kerr Funeral services were held last Saturday, May 27 for William Will-iam Kerr, who died last Thursday Thurs-day in the American Fork Hospital Hos-pital of a stroke. The services were held at 11 a.m. under the direction of Robert Davis, a counselor in the Fourth Ward bishopric. Speakers at the services were Blake Fordham and Robert Hicks, and musical numbers were given by Karen Johnson and Hazel Bullock, accompanied accompan-ied by Rosalie Jacklin. Family prayer was given by Harold Jacklin, and invocation by Dale Lewis. The benediction was pronounced by Arlo Walker. Walk-er. The grave was dedicated in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery Ceme-tery by Ronald Barney. Pallbearers were Ronald Barney, Bar-ney, Blake Fordham, Arlo Walker, Floy Taylor, Harold Jacklin and Cecil Peterson. Gilbert Gil-bert Baxter was an honorary pallbearer. Flowers and luncheon were arranged and cared for by the Pleasant Grove Fourth Ward Relief Society. Mr. Kerr was born Nov. 28, 1916 in Evanston, 111., to Alexander Alex-ander and Mary Ross Kerr. He married Leota Margaret Whitt on Sept. 3, 1949, in Chicago. He was a retired steelwork-er steelwork-er and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the LDS Church in the PI. Grove Fourth Ward. Survivors include his widow, Pleasant Grove; five daughters Mrs. Philip (Sally) Zufolo, New Jersey; Mrs. Norman (Edith) Memmott, Prospect, 111.; Mrs. Sherman (Beth) Sipe, Rogers, Minn.; Mrs. Forrest (Betty) Jorgensen, American Fork; Mrs. William (Carolyne) Arndt, Williams Air Force Base, Ariz. ; 32 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren. |
