Among the methods used in the Smokery Lib Habit Training are convenient techniques which smokers can use to help themselves and to help each other. Smokers are welcome to attend a public meeting to get details, and take a test to find the best methods for them to use in quitting. Meetings are scheduled in the Utah County area Decem-ber 1 (Provo Library at 10 a. m or 6 p.m.) December 4 ana 6 (Senior Citizens Center 9 a. m or City Hall in American Fork); December 5 (Spanish Fork at 770 East 100 S., 9:30 a.m. December 7 (Payson Hospital at 7:30 p.m. Literary Guild Enjoys Christmas Program In American Fork The spirit of Christmas came early to a large number of the American Fork Literary Guild who were entertained Friday evening by Mrs. Edith Gordon and Mrs. Elaine Hun-sak-at the latter's home. Mrs. Harold Walker gave a brief review of the book, "The Greatest Story Ever Told" which gives new light on the birth, boyhood and min-istry of Jesus Christ. Further sacred atmosphere was added with Chistmas carols, "Star Bright" and "Maria" sung by Mrs. Larry Walker and Mrs. Anne Moyle, with guitar ac-companiment by Mrs. Walker. Refreshments served by the hostesses also carried out the holiday theme. Vy O, h'-'-h I FBLA OFHCERS Sandy Story, Deann Woffinden, Janet Jackson, Tyler Smith, ad-visor, seated, and Jolene Harper, Diane Bas- - tian, Nancy Bezzant, Dixie Magleby and Gary Lloyd, were involved in Capter Char-ter night at the Pleasant Grove High School. FBLA Holds Chapter Charter Night at PGHS and Officially Joins National Business Organization The Pleasant Grove Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America had their Chapter Night at High School. Gary Llyod, Utah's FBLA State Chairman, officially made Pleasant Grove a member of the national FBLA club. Some of the main purposes of FBLA is to develop com-petent, aggressive busines lead-ership; create more interest and understanding in the in- - tellingent choice of business occupation;! and to develop character, prepare for useful citizenship and further patriot-ism. Advisors of the club for this year are Tyler Smith and Affra Nelson. Officers are Diane Bastian, president; Janet Jack-son, vice president; Jolene Harper, secretary; Nancy Bez-zant, treasurer; Deann Woffin-den, reporter; and Standy Story, historian. All members are looking forward to a worth-while and active year. MISS DIANE JOLLEY AND JIM TRUITT Diane Jolley and Jim Truit Plan Weddinq for Thursday, Dec. 7 Miss Diane Jolley will be-come the bride of Jim Truitt on Thursday, December 7th. The couple will be married Thursday evening, with a re-ception to follow in the Manila Ward Cultural Hall. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jolley. The club meeting this month was somewhat different than usual. The evening was spent making Christmas decorations. Betty Memmott was in charge and helped everyone with their items, which was appreciated by all. After the laughs and hard work everyone enjoyed pot luck dinner. Lindon PTA To Meet on Friday, Dec. 1st Lindon PTA will meet Fri-day, Dec. 1 at 3:30 p.m. There will be a special presentation made to the school. DAN TINSLEY (LaVaun Doyle) LaVaun Doyle and Dan Tinsley Recite Wedding Vows in Texas Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Doyle announce the marriage of their daughter Valli LaVon to Dan Michael Tinsley of Buna, Texas The marriage vows were read by Rev. B. A. Carlin in the First Baptist Church in Buna, Texas on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. A reception followed. The bride was given in mar-riage by her father. She wore a long blue gown that was hand tucked. Her bouquet was pink roses, white carnations, and baby breath. LeAnn Doyle, maid of honor and Melynee Ann Moosman, flower girl, were dressed alike in long pink gowns and each carried pink carnations and white mums in a nosegay. Mr. Tinsley is a graduate of Buna High School. He attend-ed Lamar University, and now is employed in Port Arthur, Texas.
