Show ... j'yf jJ Z ' HAROLD WOOLSTON to retire this year Harold Woolston Retires from , PGHS Faculty For 30 years Pleasant Grove High School has relied upon the services of Harold Woolston. Now he is retiring. Pleasant Grove is losing a great teacher. Harold Woolston was born March 28, 1906. He was one oe a family of 12 and he attended Lehi High School, where he played football. After graduating graduat-ing from Brigham Young University, Uni-versity, he was principal of the elementary school in Cedar Valley. Six years later he came to Pleasant Grove High School. Mr. Woolston was a coach, a-long a-long with Mr. Giles and Mr. Hillman. At first he taught both history and art, but is now head of a very fine art department. depart-ment. Mr. Woolston's gifts as an artist and a teacher have been noted by many. He received two gold medals for his etchings etch-ings at the Utah State Fair. He has twice been noted in "Who's Who in American Education," Ed-ucation," and "Who's Who in the West." He is a former member of the Associated Artists Ar-tists of Utah, and was once president of the Juniper Print Makers. Although he is retiring, Mr. Woolston says he will keep himself very busy with painting paint-ing and gardening. |
