Lee Robertson, Wildlife Resources Re-sources safety specialist, urges gun owners to store their firearms fire-arms safely. Guns should be locked up if possible and ammunition am-munition stored separately. Bolt action rifles can be rendered ren-dered inoperative by removing remov-ing the bolt and storing it in another location. "Be absolutely sure chambers cham-bers and magazines are empty before cleaning or storing firearms fire-arms don't merely assume they are empty," Robertson said.
