Show March Comes in Like Lion But Storms Lessen March came in like the proverbial pro-verbial Lion on Sunday, March 1. A rainstorm visited the PI. Grove area and the rain turned turn-ed to snow Monday morning. It was a sudden change from the fair skies that had blessed the area for the first four days of the 7-day weather period. Total for the two storms was more than a half-inch of pure water, which brings the total for 1970 to more than three inches. Well, anyway, according to the predictions of the Ground Hog, we are due for 9 days more of winter, which runs us to Saturday, March 14. Even if his predictions are true, we should be able to endure it. Statisticians say that the current cur-rent winter season is one of the mildest on record. Skies were partly clear Tuesday Tues-day morning. Outside it was 30 degrees and the barometer was rising at 29.90. With the passing of the storm front eastward, fair and warmer warm-er conditions should return to Northern Utah, the forecasters said. Statistics for the week ending end-ing at 6 p.m. Monday, Mar. 2.
