SAVINGS 60NC: Don't forget . . . every litter bit hurts Amblyopia Clinic Set for Friday in Sharon School There wil be an Amblyopia Clinic held at Sharon School in Orem on Friday, April 25 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The clinic is for children 3 to 5 years of age. Anyone who didn't get an opportunity to have their eyes checked in the clinic held last fall should be sure to attend this clinic. There will be no further clinics until April, 1970. Mrs. Jack Alexander, coun-cil health chairman, is in - charge of the clinic. She stated that all children 3V2 to 5 should be tested at an amblyopia clinic once a year, and that a child should have a test before be-ginning school, just as they have dental and physical check-ups. Hyrum E. Bradley Appointed to New York Position Hyrum E. Bradley Jr., of Bountiful, Utah, has been ap-pointed staff assistant in the Federal Relations Dept. of Am-erican Telephone and Tele-graph Co. in New York City. Currently Mr. Bradley is the Utah manager, rate planning for Mountain States Tel. and Tel. in Salt Lake City. He will assume the new position June 1 Mr. and Mrs. Bradley (the former Dorothy Ann Nelson), and their four childxe, Scott, Guy, Kirk and Lorrie will move to New York. Mr. Bradley began his tele-phone career 14 years ago and has had several assignments in the company's commercial operations. He spent IV2 years in the company's general of-fice in Denver and worked five and one half years as Salt Lake District manager. Mr. Bradley is a native Utahn. He was raised in Pleas-ant Grove and earned Bachelor of Arts degree at the BYU. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Bradley, who now reside in Santaquin. Funeral Services Held Thursday for Pearl D. Chapman Funeral services in memory of Mrs. Pearl Dye Chapman, 79, were held Thursday, April 17, 1969, at 11 a.m. in the Lin-do- n Ward Chapel under the dir-ection of Bishop Lowell Gill-ma- n of the Lindon Second LDS Ward. Mrs. Chapman died April 14 in the American Fork Hospital of natural causes. Speakers who paid a glowing tribute to the deceased as a dedicated wife, mother, neigh-bor and church worker were Yukus Inouye, Leon Walker, and Kenneth II. Gillman. A life sketch was read by Linda Gillman and Bishop Gillman closed with fitting remarks. Stanley Biggs favored with a vocal solo, "That Wonderful Mother of Mine." Ellen Peter-son and Doris Johnson sang "Beyond the Sunset" and Will-iam E. Petersen sang a bari-tone solo, "In the Garden." LaDean Gillman accompan-ied the singers and also played the organ prelude and post-lud- Family prayer was led by David Dye, invocation was ask-ed by Jesse Dye and Bruce Lundgren pronounced the bene-diction. Pallbearers wer Bill James, Paul Gillman, Kent, Richard and Dean Larsen, Lynn Zufelt and Robert Lundgren. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Lindon Second Ward Relief Society. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by John D. Chapman. Cord of Thanks When the hours of acute loss and deep sorrow come to fam-ily members, the sympathy, kindness and helpfulness of all friends, relatives and neighbors is so gratefully appreciated.
