Show Phyllis Banks Is New President of Cadmus Club A June breakfast was enjoyed enjoy-ed by members of the Cadmus Club recently in the Second-Fourth Second-Fourth Ward Relief Society room. Members were seated at round tables beautifully set and with rose arrangements at each table. A delicious breakfast was served by the hostesses Catherine Cather-ine Rees, Lurena Warnick and Fawn Fordham. Prayer was offered by Lucy Haycock. Officers for the coming year were installed. They are: -Phyllis Banks, president; Elaine Walker, vice president; Druc-illa Druc-illa Smith, recordings secretary; secre-tary; Lucy Haycock, corresponding corres-ponding secretary; Maymetta Johnson, treasurer; Afton Miller, Mill-er, Chairman, June Monson and Helen Wadley, program committee. A potted plant was presented to each of the outgoing officers. Tributes weer paid to President Catherine Rees, Phyllis Banks, Rose Hillman, Fay Belliston Effie Adams, Glenna Oveson," Phyllis Thomson, and Elanie Walker. Lois West paid tribute to Ber-nice Ber-nice Christensen, a charter member of the Cadmus Club. JoAnna Major, a talented vocalists and entertained, sang an dgave a reading, "At the Swimming Pool." This was especially fitting as Ella Jackson Jack-son and Bethel Alfred of the Project Committee placed a motion before the club that a donation to the Vesterons Swimming Pool be given as this years project. The motion was approved by the twenty-two members present. |
